Location

The Hameau de Champelplot, a 160-year-old farmhouse, is situated in the heart of southern France at the edge of the Ardèche valley. Together with a few other houses it makes the hamlet of Champelplot which is part of Saint Alban–Auriolles (about 2 km away); it covers a hillock with a beautiful sight on the Ardèche  and Cevennes mountains and the Sampzon rock. Saint Alban–Auriolles, situated at the confluence of the rivers Ardèche and Chassesac, has about 900 inhabitants, the nearest village is Ruoms with about 2.500 inhabitants being approximately 4 km away.

The main building and the two accommodation units have been renovated and furnished during the past years without changing the original character of a typical Ardèche residence. Caused by its unique location surrounded by vineyards it offers you the chance to get some peace and relaxation with a glass of local wine in your hand enjoying the warm rays of the almost Mediterranean sun. If you like sports you will also find lots of challenges like e. g. canoeing, horse riding, free climbing, canyoning, mountain biking, playing golf or, in winter, you can go skiing in the Cevennes mountains or (after a two-hour drive) in the Alps.
